William Aaron Bishop

Actor

William is a New York based actor currently performing in the four-time Tony Award winning production of Jersey Boys the Musical. This is Williams second tour with the company where he first was seen as a” Swing” covering up to 6 tracks and now as “Hank” while understudying Bob Gaudio. William has been very fortunate and privileged to have worked with the original creative team : Des McAnuff, Sergio Trujillo, Ron Melrose, Richard Hester, Gareth Weedon and Danny Austin during his time with Jersey Boys.

William was born in Fresno, California and grew up with a history in the performing arts. With both parents being vocal educators, he was very fortunate to perform and work with industry professionals at a young age. Whether it was singing in Choirs across America or being in Musical Theatre productions across California, William has always had a passion for Acting/Singing and decided, after High School, that was what he wanted to pursue in College at the American Musical Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles and New York City.

Williams very first professional contract was when he was 18 years old when he was offered to sing background vocals for the Grammy award winning Zach Brown Band in concert in his hometown. Since then, he has appeared in two tours of Jersey Boys the Musical with Norwegian Cruise Lines as well as premiering a new Christmas/Holiday song at the Lincoln Center in New York City.

Although William is still in the beginning stages of his career in acting, he absolutely loves being able to tell stories through acting/song. He relishes the opportunity to bring emotional heart of the numerous roles he has been fortunate to portray and strongly believes in the power of theatre and song to awake joy and empower change in an audience. William is very proud of his accomplishments to date and eagerly awaits the next chapter in his exciting career in the performing arts.
